♪ ABOUT FUN MUSIC ♪

Leaning music with a FUN teaching style means that students learn faster, practice more often and enjoy incorporating music into their life, for life. So having FUN is an important part of each lesson. ♥ Flexible scheduling

Instruments Taught:

We are interested in teaching the instrument you'd like to learn. Our roster of teachers covers the most common instruments and topics requested, such as the following:

  • Banjo
  • Bass
  • Cello
  • Clarinet
  • Composition
  • Drums
  • Flute
  • Guitar
  • Keyboard
  • Music Theory
  • Organ
  • Percussion
  • Piano
  • Recorder
  • Saxophone
  • Singing
  • Ukulele
  • Viola
  • Violin
  • Voice

Styles: From beginner to advanced, we teach classical, Latin, blues, pop, rock and other styles. We will accomodate learning to play by ear, or learn to read music from your very first lesson!

Ages: From 3 to 95! Starting a student very young is possible, using instruments that require a minimum of strength. Woodwinds and brass instruments, for example, require some strength. Some string instruments, such as violin or cello, are best started around the ages of 5-8, but will greatly benefit with foundational skills in another instrument, such as piano.

Teachers are chosen for their experience, enthusiasm and ability to deliver the best private lesson experience possible. Everyone at Fun Music School is patient, versatile and tailors each lesson to the talent, attitude, interests and personality of the student. Like a snowflake, each student has their own unique pace in learning, which we respect.

Teacher availability is subject to schedules, travel logistics and current student load for a particular teacher. The first introductory lesson is free as it's important that teachers are a good fit for an individual student.

To view our list of instructors and their biographies, click on the Our Instructors page. Lessons are done virtually or in-home. In-home lessons require an additional travel fee of $20 per month. Online lessons will be available sometime in 2018 for intermediate and advanced students. In some cases teachers have their own studio available for students.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we longer retain a physical studio. Not all teachers will conduct in-person lessons, and each has their own COVID-19 protocol. We welcome each family to discuss their protocol needs with their teacher.
